Its a shame to do thing the LEGAL way....

I knew my run had to come to an end. I mean it is SO awesome to go into a bar when you are not of age and you fool everyone or at least you think you fool everyone by telling them you are 22. Well I ran my course and it only meant that I had to say goodbye in a HUGE way. So what does every 21 year old do here in California? Go to Vegas of course! And I am no different because drinking and gambling are the biggest things you can do legally once you turn 21.

So here is the shin dig my friends and I were in. Yes that big castle. Ha! Anyways don't let looks deceive you they had this pleasure pit thing going on where there were chicks dancing 24/7 because every time I would walk by the place they had it going on. Also Excalibur (name of the hotel) is famous for having beer pong 24/7. Our location was ideal because we were across the street from New York New York, MGM, and Tropicana. Mandalay Bay (water park/hotel), Luxor (the big black pyramid), and Excalibur were connected so it made the commute that much easier when drunk. This is New York New York... yeah forget New York! Ive can say I've seen it and move on to more important places on the planet. :)

This is my partner in crime for everything! This is JJ. This was our first stop on our way to LV. Melinda was nice enough to drive almost 3 hrs in traffic and stop here and from here it was my duty to take us to LV safely. For this picture I told her... JJ you whore smile! :) That is how we roll.

And this my friends is Melinda at the stop. Yeah this girl can coordinate clothes and thats why we are friends. Hahaha jk! Well this was my other partner in crime for the trip. The three musketeers kicking ass across the border.
Here we are in Paris the hotel. Yeah as I said if you want to travel just go to Vegas and say you have been to all these awesome places on the same night and just walking distance from each other.
I have to admit this is one of the nicest hotels on the strip. Well of course you cannot beat Cesar's Palace, Palms, Bellagio, and others. But nonetheless this was my first time in this hotel even though this was my third trip to The Strip.
So im legal and I have to celebrate in a big way so I get myself a BIG tower. Its strawberry and piƱa colada stuff. Too sweet for my liking but the bartender was nice enough to kick it up a notch Emeril style and add more booze in it. For that the guy gets a generous tip.
Me and shiny balls.. who knew...
Melinda outside the Chippandale's theater at the Rio Hotel. Hell yes I am legal and hell yes I want to see naked men, isn't that what Vegas is about? YES! May I say I LOVED the show and all the men in it. It was worth being late to the next activity we had planned. Before this we went to some exhibit at Luxor where they had actual body muscle and body parts preserved and stuff. Kind of freaked me out and at the end of the day I wanted my money back but meh I got to spend it with my girls. The reproductive system was the most disturbing and deff left me with the not wanting to have children ever feeling.
Well dang Jazz what the party that wild?! Actually there was sooo much drama before this instant that it will die in Vegas for all I care but I had to bring a memory back with me. I wanted to jump on this bed and dry hump him. What is "its" name? Irrelevant! :) Good Times indeed.
Well this was the view I got from the 18th floor at the Mandalay Bay on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. But wait was I not staying at the Excalibur? Ha.. yeah exactly.. ;) Of course this was not our last day and there is no proof in pictures in my possession of what happened afterwards.

I watched the Pats game at the Excalibur lobby and got in a good buzz to put up with the loss against I dont know who. I felt bad because the whole bar was rooting for the opposing team. I had a couple sit next to me who were obviously against me but at the end of the day we shook hands and toasted to Vegas. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe had more drinks and ended the day at an Irish Bar at New York New York where I hold a personal best for 8 rums and cokes along with some Jager and some beer. I have no idea what I danced to that night and I cannot even begin to describe the vibe from the place but I had a great time. I must admit I am a graceful drunk when I want to be.

We left Sin City on a somewhat sour note that morning but we got home safely after a 3 1/2 hr drive. Oh yes we stopped at Barstow for a potty stop and then hit the road once again. Sure took a toll on my bottom but everything I lived that weekend was incredible. Not all incredible in a good way yet I would not change it for the world. I leave you with this though, it is possible to find love in Vegas... did I? No I already knew I had it. :D

Summah Summah Summah TIME!... is over

One of three blogs... all are written but Ill give you in doses the fun of my life! ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My friends! How is everyone. Have I been absolutely that busy this summer that I did not have time to update all my friends on my happenings? I was unemployed and yet I managed to have a great time with my time off and no money situation. If I was employed would I have been able to have this much fun? Absolutely not. If I was in summer school would I have gotten away with all this? Not a chance. So lets begin with a small, brief, tiny summary of what I wanted to discuss before leaving for my two week vacation at Mexico. It was a promising blog actually because I actually wrote it down. Ah well promising might have to come on an other occasion. LETS ROLL!
As many of you know I have made it a tradition to go to Six flags every summer now because I am afraid that they will close the damn place and I wont be able to go ever again. Well hooray! They did not close this year and I got to go on the new ride Terminator Salvation. Rating? 6. Line was 2 1/2 hrs long in easily 95 degree heat in the middle of nowhere. Was I thrilled? Not at all. Well at the end of the night all was saved because we went on X2 and it was scarier than ever because it sucks to have the feeling of falling into darkness at 70+ mph.Wow when was this? A LONG time ago! Well I saw Bruno and Ice age and wanted to get a quick word before I leave the subject. Bruno was embarrassing to watch with my 14 yr old cousin. But at the end I had the biggest laugh of my life. Just shows you the big hypocrite America is. Ice Age 3 was cute like the other movies and really enjoyed it. Thumbs up people!I am an absolute summer lover because I get to swim. Well this year I got what I asked for and that was an ear infection on BOTH ears. You know how painful that was? Wow I seriously woke up at 2 am and looked up home remedies because I could not sleep because of the fever. Ugh that was a bad side of summer no one wanted to see. Besides the whole swimming in pools I got a chance to go hang out with my cousin at Lake Perris which was overall fun and I got a gnarly tan.
This summer I had a chance to head to Mexico for 2 weeks to visit my sick grandma. I might add it wasn't the happiest of times but I am so lucky to have a great family which made the experience so unforgettable.
Landed in awesome Mexico City and then headed down to Iguala, Gro. MX to stay with my auntie for a few days.
These are my cousin's daughters which I had a totally fun time with. They are mad crazy! They just grab their crap and go anywhere and everywhere. Its deff nothing like here but I deff did enjoy myself just being in the unknown and meeting the strangest of people.
This is inside my auntie's house in Iguala. It is SUPER small but beats the hole I go and hang out at El Canton... like SERIOUSLY! My mommy, auntie, gma, and uncle are in this pic. They look all mad chill just haging. My mom is in the floral ugly red shirt. Half of the stuff she wore I would question but whatever makes her comfy I guess.I got a chance to go watch a soccer game where my Cousin's BF was playing. He was no David Beckham or Landon Donovan but he assisted for the only goal his team made that game. I was in the sidelines chillin and remembered I was legal in Mexico so I decided to drink to my health. (To be quite honest no one cares if your legal in MX)
And this is what I call a heart attack on a plate. It was BOMB! There are these people churning tacos out like its no ones business outside Estadio Azteca. This was the meal of choice before watching my precious Aguilas!Before leaving to Mexico City we went to El Canton which is a small village type of place where my mom was born and raised. Well there is this dam close to this place in Arcelia. We headed over there and this is the view we got. We stopped by a restaurant and ate fresh seafood and swam in the swimming pool which was in the restaurant. I had maaad fun eating, drinking, and playing with my niece and nephews in the pool. Ill show you all a pic of my cutie pies but I first have the show you the meal of choice at this place.That my friend is a pregnant fish... no silly faces there are no baby fish in their tummy but they have this shrimp type of filling that the put inside the fish which is absolutely to die for. It was VERY freakin spicy almost like Camarones a la Diabla but not that intense. This is my youngest nephew: Jose Manuel :)Here is my oldest and only niece from my sister: LilianaAnd the middle child who is my fav ;): MarcosAnd here is my lovely sister: Erika. Her ass looks like my mommy. I look like my daddy. No wonder we look nothing alike but its all bueno because she takes care of me as if I were her own. She is the best sister anyone could ask for. It sucks we live worlds apart but when I do get to see her it warms up my heart.Finally my last day in Mexico was in Mexico City with my cousin (which is an America fan... thats how you know who is true family and those who aren't, jk) and his wife. Here we are in El Angel de la Independencia which is a famous landmark. Its my mommy, moi, and my cousin with his awesome shirt.Does anyone notice the Eagle on my cousin's head? Ha! This was after the game which I had 8 beers for approx 2 bucks each. Now THAT is a bargain. They were all Coronas of course because its not imported and therefore cheap. I swear I was in heaven. That face is of victory homies because we won.
So it was an amazing experience and a great time. I cannot wait to go back next year. I am still debating on whether to go to MD or go to Mexico or fuck both and go to NY. Hahaha I think for now I will stick to MD and go to Mexico during Christmas because its warm as heck and fireworks are LEGAL! YAY! Anyways this was Mexico and my summer of 09... again im horrible about writing my summer during winter! LOVE IT!
M.I.A.
Wow... no really Jasmin? Okay okay Im sorry I have been completely missing for the last few months but I promise there is a good reason. Okay seriously? There is no good reason but you all still love me right? GOOD! Lets begin!First lets start the blog by saying farewell to a great. The one and only MJ! It was tragic to hear of his death and it will be a horrible loss to the music industry but no one as iconic as MJ can escape death. I know everyone is sick with all these MJ stories but I wanted to take a second to just show my respects. LOVE YAH MJ!
This blog will be about alot of things. I will review all the movies I have seen since the last post and a lot of random stories. Lets start the movie review process with the latest and baddest movie of the summer. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was AWESOME. Killer action and Megan Fox looked foxier than ever. The humor was great. The only thing I did find wrong with this movie was that there was a young crowd in the room and the bad language was really not necessary. I personally do not mind it but I would not appreciate 5 year olds hearing it.
17 Again: B
It was not a bad movie at all. I am not a big high school musical fan but I do like Zac Efron. I greatly appreciated that the person playing the father was my favorite character from Reno 911. By far that is what made the movie so great. The humor coming from him is what makes the movie. Props to Zac Efron.
Xmen Origins: Wolverine A-
I LOVE Wolverine. No doubt if I was given the option of taking any X-men home I would take Wolverine. I must admit after carefully analyzing the movie the plot was completely off yet the action was there and give me an hr and a half of Hugh Jackman and im happy! Nonetheless good movie.Star Trek: A+
To be honest I was very skeptical on watching this movie opening night but i could just not help myself. It was AMAZING! I became a trekie in just one night. I thought Spock was beyond hot and that in my mind makes me weird! Nonetheless this was my favorite movie of the summer until I watched Transformers. Hmm aliens or robots? Robots win this battle. Now I am anticipating the sequel to this movie and I am sure it will blow my mind.
Obsesses: F
First of all I did not want to watch this movie. It was either Obsessed or Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana. Second of all I dislike Beyonce Knowles. And to conclude this was by far the most stupid movie I have EVER seen. Yeah it even beats you Napoleon Dynamite. Waste of my precious money.
Angels and Demons: B
Yes I am a huge Dan Brown fan but only because I LOVE the books does not mean I LOVE the movies. I hated the Da Vinci Code because it was not like the book. The difference between The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons is that this has a simpler plot and it is movie friendly. I loved watching the movie and remembering what I read. Good action movie.
The Hangover: A-
HILARIOUS! I have never been so motivated to loose my mind in vegas more than ever! I am looking forward to passing out and waking up to madness...lol! WATCH IT NOW!
Wall-E: A-
It was SO cute! Wall-EEEE and EEEva are super adorable and it is just soo cute! I watched it on HBO one night when I was bored... so yeah I deff recommend this movieWrong Turn: C
Okay this was a pretty cheesy movie but pretty convincing. Never been to West Virginia and I am not dying on going anytime in my lifetime. This movie just gave West Virginians a baaaad name and just goes to prove that Hollywood is cruel! Hope it is not based on a true story, SCARY!
~Movies I need to watch~
Up
Terminator Salvation
Night at the Museum
Ice Age 3
~Update~
So currently I am unemployed and not attending school. I am a total bum for the remainder of the summer and I am so happy. Not happy about the not having money part but I do enjoy doing nothing.
Everyone knows how I feel about the Lakers but yeah they won and the whole LA raza went crazy! It was a treat to watch the people going crazy. Now as for NHL.. I was SO disappointed. I wanted to Red Wings to win because Im a PA hater so yeah it was only fair. But noooo stupid Detriot had to lose. Nonetheless I watched both finals and I love being a sports junkie. Did everyone catch the MVPs Nike commercials? I LOVED them so much I had to fan them in facebook.
~Lets see what else have I been up to? I went to an Angels game two weeks ago for free! Yes I am loved by JJ cuz she gave me the tickets.
~I am going to the Gold Cup game at the Home Depot Center in Carson City to watch the home country El Salvador play who knows but im excited!
~My cousin got married last night so congrats to him. He probably is in Hawaii right now getting jiggy with it for his honeymoon. Love it! It was an okay wedding but I did not care because I got my groove on even if the music sucked.
Okay kiddies I am deff done for the night. Have a great one and I hope to blog pretty soon.
Tragedy brings reflection...
As many if not everyone knows today, this day April 9th, was the final day of a talented young man who pitched for the Angels. His story is quite amazing yet tragic. He was drafted in 2004 by the Angels with elbow problems. He sat out 4 seasons until this winter showed commitment and hard work. He was picked during the spring to start because of all the problems the Angels had with starting pitchers. He delivered a great performance for a rookie and had no runs for 6 innings. He decides to go out with friends and a drunk 22 year old (same age as him) decides to drive on a suspended license and run a red light and hit the car in which he was a passenger in. The silver eclipse hits another car and is slammed against a light pole. Two died on site and Nick died in surgery at UCI. How could this happen? This Mr. Gallo (drunk driver from Riverside) is a total waste of space and air and takes away the life of a man who deserves to live and has talent that not many have. He just had his great big league start and was incredibly successful. This night he showed everyone that he deserved to be there and wear the angels uniform. And on this night his life was cut short. Brings tears to my eyes. I headed out to Angels Stadium to drop some flowers and was moved by messages written on caps, shirts, balloons, and banners. It really is not fair. I am reading on the teams that observed a moment of silence for Nick and it makes me happy to know that it is just not the fans that care.
Car in which he was a passenger in.
During the Giants v Brewers game. I drove by the Honda Center and they had something similar showing in their big screen next to the freeway. Once I found out at like 9 am I ran onto the computer and went to ESPN to get more details. I was on the message boards and someone commented that it was probably a drunk Mexican who did this. I was deeply offended at this comment but it turned out to be true. Then I ask myself why people like this make it so hard for others like me to get by without being stereotyped. I cannot act like a victim of racial stereotyping because we all go through it too but I was just insanely pissed off because it turned out to be true.
This is the picture I took when I went down there to drop off some flowers. It was just a sad place to be. This is deff not the first athlete to die in this manner but its is just sad. Being 20 and having my whole life ahead of me makes me sad to think that this young man with incredible talent was unfairly taken away at his highest moment in life.
I was actually working on a blog last night which was more than halfway done but I decided to start all over because of what happened. To lighten the mood a little and not let this sad story take over my whole blog I will switch it up a bit. My co worker's son decided to enroll in the few the proud, the Marines. Well he has been in boot camp for about 3 weeks. I got a text message telling me that he went AWL. Now I am not a military expert but I thought that meant that you abandoned the place you were suppose to be in. Turns out he left boot camp. He had been watching the guards for about a week until he memorized their paths and decided to go for it. He jumped in a couple bushes, ran over a few hills, and jumped over a few fences and he made it back to civilization. The Srgnt Joe Shmoe called my co worker and said he has 31 days to go back before authorities would be looking for him. Talk about crazy! Who in their right mind decides to escape boot camp? This kid has BALLS! Well he is going back tonight and he had to write a letter explaining why he did it. I am glad he finally got a taste of reality and he realized how great he had it back at home.Followed by sad news again today I was brought to tears. I must say it does not take much to move me to tears but I just cannot help it, things make me sad and I cry. Turns out one of my friends had a miscarriage not to long ago and finally told me today. I could not believe it. I am pro choice but personally I would never abort and I would never want my friends to abort either. I understand this was a miscarriage but it just makes me sad that she has to live with that now. I mean if it was up to her she would have had the child but just everything going in her life made it hard on her body to retain the child. I understand. My mom had a miscarriage as well when I was 8 years old. I sat there and thought about having a little brother or sister and it made me sad that it was not going to happen. My parents are the best and I felt that they would be lucky to have them to take care of him/her.
Well if many of you knew or not I have been on two weeks of spring break from work and one week of spring break from school. How awesome is that? Well on my first week we headed out to Disneyland with my cousin Janet, her friend Irma, and my friend Melinda. Now let me remind you that all this was free! Except the gas and guess who got stuck driving? Yeah me! Anyways we headed out to Orange County and spent a fun day at both Disneyland and California Adventure. We had fun hanging going on rides and just being crazy like usual. They closed three rides on us which pissed me off but its okay we still got to ride the fun ones. We left the park at 10 pm and guess who had to drop everyone off? Yes me again. I got home around 12:45am and died in bed that night! My feet hurt like hell the next day because of all the walking up and down the park but it was soooo worth it!On Saturday Melinda and I headed to Knott's Berry Farm!!! The picture you see up is Perilous Plunge. Great ride! The lines were no more than 25 minute wait which made it that much more awesome. All I have to say on this ride was that when we started to fall I was screaming and opening my mouth so wide that I almost choked on the water! It was hella funny. After this we headed down to Accelerator which turned out to be sooo much fun. So you start and go 82 mph and we are going up as high as possible and then twist and go all the way down again. I was laughing so hard and decided to look over to Melinda and her face was PRICELESS! She looked like she was having the biggest heart attack known to man! I looked at her and could not for the love of goodness sakes stop laughing. We finally stop and she is catching her breath wiping the tears from her eyes. I start laughing uncontrollably again because this is by far the funniest thing to me.
If you were curious this is a picture of the ride. Right where you see that car is where I turned over to see Melinda. *wipes tear* Good Times! Well after all that it was Melinda's turn to laugh hysterically. We went on ghost rider almost at the end of the night and we finally got on. So we are on our way up the steep climb and some idiot decides to take a picture. So they stop everything. Melinda and I are thinking that the ride was broken but then some guy walked towards us and asked the idiot to give them the camera. Fine okay whatever. So finally we reach the top and brave Melinda decides to put her hands up and as soon as we start falling she is trying so hard to get a hold of the bars because the drop is extremely steep and fast. There I was laughing so hard. But then the moment of truth came when we reached the bottom and I swear that the car got off the rail and then jumped back on it. Once my life is in real danger I am no longer having fun. Once I felt that I started screaming for my life asking why the hell I decided to get on this ride and just wanting to get out alive. Melinda could not stop laughing at this point. We finally reach the end and she wipes tears from her eyes again saying that my face was sooo funny. She said I looked nervous and it was soo funny. Nothing funny about that!
Okay so that was most of the fun I had during my spring break. Oh and I forgot to mention how I started my spring break. So Melinda hits me up Friday night asking me if I had plans. Duh! No way I had plans so she decided to take me to the bar where there was free show that night. Okay so we head out and we are just chillin at the bar. Her friend has a new man and these both are beyond normal levels and they bring drama to the place. She buys us long island iced teas and we just chug it like water. So her man walks off and this guy comes up to her and just talks.. her man comes back and is like "why you talking to my old lady dude, back off! I just told you she is with me, do we have a problem bro?" Melinda and I just look at each other like OH MAN! BARFIGHT! Lol it cooled off before anything bad happened but it was interesting. So here I am drinking like I am being rushed and by the end of the night I was a little messed up, how messed up you ask? I fell in front of EVERYONE! It was one of those moments when you had to be there. I threw my hands in the air and said IM OKAY! Lol priceless. I got a ride home and went to sleep. An hour later I did not feel soo good so I made it to the toilet to barf. Again at 5, 6, and7 in the morning I woke up to barf. I had a killer headache that morning but I did not tell the parentals I went out so I had to stick it out. My dad decides to cook breakfast and I forced myself to eat it because I could not leave a clue that I was not okay that morning. I got to the blood bank afterwards and asked the ladies for advil because MAN! I felt like crap! I got away with it and everything turned out okay! :) Just another day in my life really.
Okay okay this blog has gone on for WAY! to long so I finish it here. Now don't get mad or anything but I probably wont post anything until my next break which is... the end of the semester but its okay I will try to keep you updated! Much love yall!
