Grind on me

~Intro~

Now dont get thinking that I am in some kinky mood because I wrote this as a title but I am listening to Pretty Ricky- Grind on Me at this exact moment. Yeah those boys just get me in the mood. Anyways I need to get a little more consistent when it comes to these blogs but I just cannot get into the groove of things. Nonetheless I will bring you the best of Jazzie's world because it is all that and a bag of chips!

~Family Party~

Now I know that I am hispanic and that it is not hard to believe that I have alot of family (ALOT!) and last Saturday I went to a party and I met some of my cousins. Now how do you live around the same area and not know they exist? Well we have managed to do that and I met two new cousins on top of the regular 15 or so. My mom had a bomb ass time drinking with the family and singing while putting me in utter embarassment. Gotta love the parentals right? My dad sat this one out and my mom and I got home at midnight. I was the one begging her to go home because I was not having a great time. Just to show you the great fun I had I slept in the truck for 1 hr and went to starbucks afterwards, the thrills and joys!

~Hanging with Debsterz~

So Debbie and I are awesome friends at work and obviously people hate us for it. I got a recent evaluation and it turns out I did a crappy job. Great. Now obviously that doesnt stop us from chilling together. On Tuesday I went to Debbie's house to hang and it was absolutely fun!! We had some Jack to make the evening a little more pleasant and also dove into the pool for a couple hours. The weather was great and we had fun talking about all the crappy people at work. Anyways afterwards she made bomb dinner and man I love her for it! lol Debbie is just awesome! On the right is a picture of the dinner.. yeah it was hella good!

~Concert~

Okay seriously now... who the hell goes to a concert and doesnt even pay for it? ME!!! why?! Because JJ loves me! We went to the ProjekRev. with Linkin Park...OMG!!! It was amazingly fun!! Those guys put on a hell of a performance! I loved every second of it! Obviously there were waaaaaay more bands. The actual even started at 1pm. We actually got there at 5:30pm. We got to the even after we scared the hell outta the white people in Irvine Spectrum. Well JJ had this great idea of going to eat before we hit up the place. Now if any of you havent been to the spectrum its actually pretty big. So JJ and I had this neat idea of blasting some Vicente Fernandez. Oh yeah instand reaction and instant head turning when we rolled all over the mall. Then we got some Rocio Dulcal. Yeah thats how we roll! Anywho we found Johnny Rockets and we decided to dine there. It was a good time... Ill let JJ show you. ------>

Moving on... the boys of the night started playing around 9:20pm and we got the best songs and we ended with the best Linkin Park song ever, One Step Closer. If you are old school or live under a rock then you must not know the middle part of this song. At the middle part it says "Shut up when I'm talking to you." Now imagine you and thousands of more people shouting that at the same time. HOW KOOL! Anyways it was a great time. THANKS JJ!!

Okay I think this is mostly all I wanted to cover on this blog. School starts next week! :( Whatta drag but I got my financial aid finally! Anyways I am done, goodnight!

~Intro~
Did you miss me? Yeah I figured...
It has been some intense time in my life right now as I prepare myself to start school and continue on my hunt for a new job. Many things make me happy yet some make me sad. Okay so where to start?]

~School~
Okay lets make it official and not confuse anyone... im officially a titan and not a bruin... so I decided to side with cal state fullerton instead of UCLA... *sigh* but im quite happy because I like the campus and I am able to pay for it myself. During orientation there was this vase that no joke looked like a vagina... mmhmm a lil kinky but it was a sign from Jeebuz himself saying that it was the school for me.

~Fun #1~
Moving on... guess where I went last Monday?? Dodgers game!!! Think Blue biawtch!!! My opinion continues to be the same with or without Manny..and that is " Yall effin suck balls!!!" Well here is the story about the not liking of the Dodgers. I used to be a huge Dodgers fan back in the day when it was worth it. Once my boi left the Dodgers and went to the Mets so did my caring for the LA team. But baseball never hurt anyone and for 17 bucks a ticket count me in!!! The home team lost against the Giants (yeah post Bond era, harsh) and we went home chanting "take me out to the ball game!" On this fun adventure we had the PTK crew. On the left we have the lovely Melinda showing the dodgers some love and on the left we have Riley in a bad ass picture, just wished I had a better camera. And lastly a pic of the view we had from our stolen seats! :P
~Fun #2~
What else have I been up to? Well my friend JJ and I went to wingnuts. If any of you dont know it is a kick ass wings place where they have as many tvs as they have seating booths. I invited JJ to go watch an Angels game with me on tv because it has been a hot second since the last time we hung. I ordered a banana smoothie and boy was it good! I went in to take a picture of the smoothie and look at the end result... yeah... not very concentrated on the smoothie... ha! I showed JJ and she got a kick out of it... what can I say I got killer friends. Angels won by the way..!



~Fun #3~
So we go at it again JJ and I on the loose! On Sat we hit the not so local mall...meaning that we had to drive more than 5 min!!! oh the horror!! Well nonetheless we found ourselves having fun talking about ppl... because thats what we do. We found the most awesomest post its and mattresses! Need proof? Let JJ show you. Now is that hot or what? Yeah I bought it after she rolled all over it. ;) Im kidding.. I did not have my Macy's card on me!

A..B..C..OOooo the pretty bird!

Well well well...Im back! I left this puppy alone for a hot sec but I am back and with some ammo...*loads gun* lets do this!

I went to six flags last week and it was off the hizzie!!! First our plan of attack was to get on X2...the hottest ride at six flags. Now I thought since we got there an hour after opening that the line was going to be at worse 1 hr....ha was I wrong. TWO AND A HALF FREAKIN HOURS!!! Was it worth it?? Hell yess!! Its weird how this puppy works but you do a 360 in your seat as the roller coaster does its own twists and turns..so its none stop action! Then to add to the fun it throws flames at you! I kid you not I was checking my hair a second later to make sure it did not catch on fire. The head rests put massage chairs to shame and you have music blasting in your ears to drown out your screaming. I give it 1.5 thumbs up! Link here to check it out: X2 Video and Details.
But you may think this is the ultimate ride in Six Flags....but no my friends! I must say Tatsu continues to blow my mind! I mean who doesn't like to be put on doggy style position without even trying?! Hell count me in! It may be slower than X2 but it is longer and it has more twists and turns. What is great about this ride is that it puts you soo close to trees and the ground that it makes you feel like you will crash into it. Now that is pure genius! Its all in the head buddy! That whole day we got on : Superman, Batman, Riddler's Revenge, Raging Rapids, X2, Viper, Deja Vu, Goliath, Scream, Colossus, Dragon Swing, Tatsu, and two other water rides...much fun!

Okay now to a subject that matters.... two things I hate about California are the CHP and drivers with cellphones. If you do not know it is illegal in California to be on your cellphone while you are driving. You need a bluetooth or the hands free set that usually come with the cellphone. Why put this law if the state will not make money out of it?! $20 dollars for the first ticket?! What is that? Hell make them learn and up it up to $100!!! People should not be on their cellphones while driving because lets face it this is Southern California and we all suffer from road rage and deprivation of speed. 75 is the new 65. (65 is the speed limit for those who do not know) Now what irritates me the most is idiots on their cellphone who see a CHP (California Highway Patrol, also one of the most greedy assholes you can ever meet in California) and then brake for their life because not only are they speeding but they are also on the cellphone. Little do they realize that you are driving behind them and that only jeebuz knows how close you were to hitting them! They are too busy breaking and trying to save their asses that they forget about the others behind them. So if you drive in the freeway system of Southern California and all of a sudden you must stop there are 3 options of what has happened to make this sudden stop happen while a second ago you were sailing at 80 mph:
1. California Highway Patrol
2. Accident or car died in the middle of freeway
3. Freeway sweeper
4. Accident on the opposing side of the freeway (yeah I know did not say 4 but this was an instant inspiration)
So there you have it...tip of the day!

Okay last nag for this blog but I must address it! Our education system is going to hell!! But Jasmin don't be so harsh! The young are the future of tomorrow! Hell I hope I am dead when the young of today are our future! Why do I say that? I don't know if you know but I work at a school district and sometimes it is my job to compile answers from surveys done by our students. Now I was skimming through some surveys to see what the kids put. I picked up the surveys of a 6th grade class (approx 11 yr olds) and one of them spelled squash like this: Sqwash. Okay fine the kid was not sure and he spelled it how it sounded. I let it go. Next survey the kid spelled Squash: Sqrash and spelled carrot: Carratoes. WHAT THE HECK?! It did not stop there! Kids kept misspelling fruits and veggies left and right! I cannot begin to tell you all the errors I saw and some spellings were not even close!!! Are these issues not addressed in 1st and second grade? It sure was when I went to school and I was in elementary approx 6 yrs ago!!! Yeah I am that young. But I am truly concerned. I feel bad for my children and this whole child left behind is screwing with the education system. Front page of the LA times "1 in every 4 teenagers in California drop out of high school- 1 in every 3 in LA County." What does this tell you? It tells me that this generation is very fucked up! Simple as that...

Hello hello!

I vowed to never ever start another blog site as long as I lived because of the bad memories of Xanga but look at me now!

How to start my first blog ever?! What to talk about?! Now I remember why I rarely blog on Myspace. I usually blog about me, because lets face it...it is all about me! Okay really now I will stop and get to something good.

Today was pretty much an ordinary day at work but there was nothing ordinary about waking up at 6am after two full weeks of waking up at 1pm. Is it so bad for me to be in a bad mood? I think not. I think it was perfectly justified but then I jammed my CD full blast and danced to it on the freeway. Have you ever found yourself driving on the freeway and a weird person is dancing or singing their heart out while singing into their comb or Starbucks coffee? Yeah *points at self* thats me baby! Who cares!! When will you ever see me again? Probably the next day but that does not kill my thrills and joys.

I got a call a second ago about a job interview I have scheduled for tomorrow @ 1:30pm! Do not get me wrong I love my current job but it cannot pay the bills! I mean who is suppose to live decently off 14K a year?! Well my name is not Jesus and I cannot make millions from one 20 dollar bill (why use your power of multiplying things to get more fish? C'mon Jesus! Multiply money and invite everyone to a filet-0-fish at Mcd's). Therefore I find myself at the point where I have to find a new job. I am sad to break the news to my boss but what else is there to do? I need the money. This job I have an interview for is a 10 month 8.0 hr job with benefits. No silly not THOSE benefits but the dental and health care ones. Yeah I know you were not thinking like that at all but I was, ha!

I am sorry to jack this idea from you Colby but I think it is great. Do any of you have a "special" box? Again not your condom box or kinky sex toys one but a box where you store items that mean a great deal to you. An example "special box" would be the box that Truman had in his basement from The Truman Show with Jim Carey. To those who live in the dark ages and have never seen the movie I suggest you watch it! It comes on TBS every other week. Anyways I have a special box of my own which has many things ranging from report cards to letters of my best friends back in high school. A majority of my box are my report cards going all the way back to 1st grade. But why? I love to remember how back in the day no one really thought anything of me. I actually had horrible grades in elementary school and I was not the brightest in the bunch. As elementary school passed something happened that made me be more accomplished in school I started being in the honor roll in school and I was very good at math. For once in my life I felt that I was able to do something and do it well. At this point I began to store everything that had to do with school. High school started and all these programs that send you to Washington DC or New York to represent your state were sending me all these applications. Now I know many of you got these too but to me it meant the world! Another thing you would find in my special box are my acceptance letters, traffic violations, and movie stubs to all the movies I have been to since freshman year. If you need a year for that it would be 2002.
